I don’t know the rules, will I be able to play?

Yes of course! Many players start out not knowing many of the rules, other than those they see on TV. Our coaches understand American Football is a minority sport and are more than happy to help you learn the game! In the meantime, Gridiron West is governed by the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). You can download the latest Football Rules and Interpretations of the NCAA here.

I’m after a team with a great social scene, would this be for me?

The Saints are a family. While we are Three Squads, we are One Team, and  we look for every opportunity to get the team together! We host a number of social events throughout the year including Jersey Presentations, our Fines Nights, Awards Night, Muck up Day and more!

Do I need to be fit?

American Football is the perfect sport for all body types. There is a place on the field for every fitness level.

Where do you play?

Games are played all across Perth ranging from Rockingham to Joondalup. Our home ground is located at Curtin University in Bentley.

Can I come ans watch or try a practice session to see if I like it?

Of course! We hold an open day where you can come and meet the #saintsfamily and get a feel of the game alternatively, contact us through this website or on our Facebook to organise your first session.

I don’t have a helmet or shoulder pads?

That’s OK, we will loan you all the protective equipment you need, including shoulder pads and helmets for all shapes and sizes.

Is there anything I need to supply?

All you need to bring is cleats (football boots), a mouth guard (not white or clear), and a water bottle.

How much does it cost to play?

Our fees differ depending which squad you are playing for, but generally fees are approx. $350-$450.00 each season. This will cover your Gridiron West and Gridiron Australia registrations, field hire, referee payments, protective equipment, plus much more. We do offer discounts fees for involvement in the club and payment plans.
